It is your right to protect yourself.
Let your parents know where you are.
Be aware of your surroundings. After dark, stand in well-lit areas, not near bushes or lots of trees.
In public, stay where you can be seen and heard.
It's okay to talk to your parents, guardians, grandparents, teachers or principal.
When waiting for the school bus, do not stand alone. Stand with others.
Don't accept rides from strangers.
Avoid strangers who ask you to help find their lost puppies or kittens – a trick used by pedophiles.
Stay safe.

These are horrible people that must be stopped and brought to justices. What, I also loved about this book, is how the author gave real tools and scenarios to help empower children. I also loved how the author used the definitions in the beginning of the book to help the children understand the MEANINGS of the words that are used in the book. This author really shows great compassion for all kids. Giving information for children to get help, and making them aware of the statistics is a plus.
